Problem
In the era of big data, how might we leverage current technologies to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of their inventory.
Discovery
Who is this for?

Warehouse Managers: To help manage and track inventory. To get a deeper understanding of warehouse inefficiencies and where adjustments can be made save on costs.

Truck Drivers: To help connect drivers to warehousing facilities. To give drivers the ability to connect with warehouse facilities with real time data and location.
What do users really want?
1. Integration
Integrate the current tracking system into a more user-centric tool, enhancing the user experience and making it more intuitive and efficient.

2. Real-time Data
Give users the ability to track real-time incoming and outgoing inventory and connect with freight drivers. No more waiting in lines for a loading dock and warehouse managers will know exactly when the truck is arriving.

3. Efficiency
Track more data. By gathering more data, users can identify opportunities for future efficiencies and improvements. Users will have a deeper, at-a-glance understanding of their inventory, enabling them to make quick decisions and implement improvements promptly.
Solution
Update Lineage Logistics management system with a user-centered design and KPI focused approach for managing inventory.
Process
The initial scope and task descriptions were focused on the technical requirements of the project. As the creative lead, my role involved facilitating the translation of these technical requirements into creative design tasks. I collaborated closely with the main design team, including UX designers, UI designers, and front-end developers, to establish the overall design and functionality of the solution. Additionally, I facilitated the overseas design team in implementing additional features.
Conclusion
I gained valuable insights into managing an overseas team, advocating for a better design process, and designing for specific data types throughout the project. Our team successfully created a working prototype that could pull data from Lineage Logistics' current system.
